Where these tools are used
- Hardware and electrical wholesale
- Home improvement and renovation retail
- Furniture and appliance installation
- Light construction and maintenance
- Tool-set gifting and DIY retail
Market notes. The drill is the product most importers open a power-tool range with, so it is also the one where the price of the two-battery kit decides the order. In the Middle East the 21 V platform is the safer base for a range because the same battery is shared with wrenches, grinders and rotary hammers; a 16.8 V drill is a lower-cost entry model that will not share a battery with anything else in the catalogue.
Cordless drills — buyer questions
Should I stock the 16.8 V or the 21 V drill?
If the drill is the whole order, the 16.8 V brushless model lands at a lower cost and is the easier sell to DIY retail. If you intend to add a wrench, an angle grinder or a rotary hammer later, buy the 21 V model instead: it shares the battery, and a customer buying a second tool then only needs the bare tool, not another charger.
What is actually different between the brushed and brushless 21 V drills?
The motor, the torque figure and the price. The brushed model is quoted at 65 N·m and ships as a two-battery set; the brushless model is quoted at 50 N·m and is available as a bare tool or in five kit combinations. Neither figure is a laboratory rating, so ask us for the current spec sheet before you print a torque claim on your packaging.
Can I print my own brand on the drill and the case?
Yes, from 30 units. We can change the silkscreen on the tool, the label on the case, the colour of the housing and the retail box. Send us the artwork and we will confirm what the tooling allows before you commit.
